Foundational Discipleship

Standing Firm

The whole armour of God.

1 · Scripture

Ephesians 6:10-18 (KJV)

2 · Key insight

Study notes, an interpretation to weigh against the text, not Scripture itself.

  • Paul begins with God's strength: "be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might" (v. 10).
  • Our struggle is "not against flesh and blood" (v. 12), which changes how we see people who oppose us.
  • Each piece of armour (truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, the word of God) is received, and the passage closes with prayer (v. 18).

3 · Reflect

4 · Save to journal

Write at least one answer to save it.

5 · Live it & pray

Today's step

Before you leave home today, pray through each piece of armour by name.

Closing prayer

Lord, make me strong in Your might. Clothe me with truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation and Your word, and keep me watchful in prayer. Amen.
