Paul reminds Timothy that the Scriptures he knew from childhood are able to make him "wise unto salvation" (2 Tim 3:15).
Verse 16 lists four uses of Scripture: doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness.
Psalm 119 shows the response of a heart that loves God's word: hiding it in the heart (v. 11), meditating on it and delighting in it (vv. 15–16).
